How long does a typical PLM or MES implementation take in UK mid-sized manufacturing?
Timescales depend on scope and integration complexity, but Cloud PLM (CIM Database Cloud) implementations for mid-sized operations are typically scoped in 1-3 month phases. MES projects usually fall in the 4-8 month range depending on shop-floor integration breadth. SCADA modernisation runs 3-9 months. We always start with the highest-value use case to demonstrate ROI early.
What is the difference between lean implementation and digital implementation?
Lean removes waste from existing processes (value stream mapping, OEE improvement, kanban). Digital adds visibility and automation to those processes (MES, PLM, IoT). The two go together - you want to lean a process before automating it, otherwise you are automating waste.
Do you provide ongoing support after implementation?
