Sample concept page · prepared for Vac-Ex

One live system behind every unit you design, build, rent and service.

From the Design Studio to the factory floor to the rental fleet — Vac-Ex runs an unusually connected business. This page sketches what that could look like with engineering, manufacturing and service data working as one, using the people and equipment you already have.

What we noticed about Vac-Ex

You design and manufacture your own range — AIR-EX, AIR-VAC, T-VAC, 360-VAC and the new VE-32-8 — in configurable variants, while also running nationwide rental, training, servicing and a parts operation. That breadth is a strength, and it is exactly where disconnected systems quietly cost money.

Configured products, one source of truth

Your Build-Your-Own studio promises tailored units. PLM keeps every variant — options, BOMs, drawings, revisions — consistent from quote to works order, so sales, design and the shop floor build the same machine.

A fleet that reports back

Rental units with maintenance and inspection packages generate service history every week. Connected asset records turn that into warranty evidence, utilisation insight and design feedback for the next revision.

Parts, training and uptime

When the parts shop, service bookings and manufacturer training share the same product data, customers get the right part and the right course for the exact unit they own — and strikes-avoidance stays front and centre.

How we would approach it

No rip-and-replace. We start where the money leaks — usually between quoting a configured unit and building it — prove value in weeks, then extend in stages: PLM, ERP, MES & SCADA and service data working as one live system.

1. Discover

Digital readiness review across design, works and rental — where is data re-typed, where do versions drift.

2. Prove

One configured product line, end to end: option rules, BOM, works order, as-built record — measured against today.

3. Scale

Roll out across the range and the rental fleet, with your team trained to own it — delivery-led, top floor to shop floor.
